Associate Attorney

Our Columbus office is growing, and we're looking for a dedicated attorney to join our team and serve our community with excellence, integrity, and compassion. Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Attorney to handle criminal defense cases and a limited number of civil matters in our Columbus, GA office. This is a full-time, in-office position ideal for someone who thrives in the courtroom, takes ownership of their caseload, and enjoys working in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in misdemeanor and felony criminal cases from arraignment through resolution
• Handle occasional civil litigation matters as assigned
• Draft motions, pleadings, and legal correspondence
• Conduct legal research and case analysis
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and colleagues in a professional and timely manner
• Attend and advocate in court regularly
• Participate in strategy sessions and firm meetings

What We’re Looking For:

• Georgia-licensed attorney in good standing
• 1–5 years of criminal law experience preferred (civil litigation experience a plus)
• Strong courtroom presence and legal writing skills
• A self-starter who takes initiative without needing constant oversight
• A team player who contributes to a collaborative culture
• Highly organized, reliable, and committed to client service
