    The Staff Pad has partnered with a fast-growing, multi-state law firm that delivers high quality legal services in civil litigation, private, real estate and business law and we are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Associate to join their growing Texas litigation team in Dallas.

    The ideal candidate is someone who is ready to take meaningful ownership of cases, work directly with clients, independently manage significant portions of matters, and continue developing as a well-rounded litigator while collaborating with senior attorneys on strategy, complex matters, and professional development.

    The attorney may work on matters involving:

    Real estate litigation, Construction and construction-defect disputes, Business and commercial litigation, Contract disputes, Partnership and ownership conflicts, Employment-related litigation, Defamation matters, Landlord-tenant and property disputes, pre-litigation demands and negotiations & General civil litigation

    Experience in every practice area is not required—strong civil litigation experience, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to quickly learn new subject matter are key.

    Schedule: Full-Time | Exempt | Hybrid– In-Office Days with Remote Flexibility

    What You’ll Do

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage civil litigation matters and substantial portions of cases from initial assessment through resolution
    • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents
    • Conduct legal research and provide practical legal analysis
    • Manage written discovery, document production, and case investigation
    • Take and defend depositions based on experience and case needs
    • Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials
    • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, strategy, deadlines, and next steps
    • Evaluate legal and factual issues and help develop case strategies
    • Negotiate with opposing counsel and assist with settlement discussions
    • Coordinate with paralegals and legal support staff to keep matters organized and moving forward
    • Maintain deadlines and manage multiple active matters effectively
    • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation and case strategy
    • Develop greater independence and courtroom responsibility as experience grows
    • Contribute to the continued growth of the firm's litigation practice

    What We’re Looking For

    Qualifications & Experience

    Deposition and courtroom experience are strongly valued, but candidates whose overall litigation background demonstrates strong potential for continued growth will also be encouraged.

    • Active Texas bar admission in good standing
    • Approximately 3–5 years of civil litigation experience
    • Experience drafting substantive pleadings, motions, and discovery
    • Experience managing litigation deadlines and case responsibilities
    • Exposure to depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation

    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
    • Sound judgment, professionalism, and willingness to seek input when appropriate
