Associate Attorney - Bankruptcy

A growing bankruptcy practice is looking to add a Bankruptcy Associate Attorney to its team. This is a remote position for a Washington-licensed attorney who is comfortable working independently while appearing in bankruptcy courts throughout the state.

The practice primarily represents lenders and creditors in bankruptcy matters, with an emphasis on litigation and contested proceedings.

The Practice

• Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters
• Creditor and lender representation
• Bankruptcy litigation and contested matters
• Adversary proceedings
• Chapter 11 matters
• Bankruptcy appeals
• Court appearances throughout Washington
• Legal research, pleadings and motion practice

What We’re Looking For

• Washington Bar admission and current good standing
• Must be physically located in Washington
• 1–10 years of bankruptcy experience
• Strong understanding of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 procedures and law
• Experience representing lenders or creditors preferred
• 3+ years of bankruptcy litigation experience strongly preferred
• Experience handling adversary complaints and appeals
• Chapter 11 experience is a significant plus
• Multiple state or federal court admissions are a plus
• Strong writing, research and litigation skills

Compensation & Structure

• $100,000–$130,000 base salary
• Eligibility for a discretionary bankruptcy bonus program of up to $11,500 annually
• 1,920 annual billable-hour requirement
• Bonus eligibility begins at 2,100 billable hours
• Remote work environment
• Court appearances required throughout Washington, primarily in and around the Seattle area
