    Job Title: Associate Attorney

    Salary/Payrate: $130K - $225K, bonus and AWESOME benefits!!!

    Work Environment: After ramping up – few days a week work-from-home

    Term: Permanent / Fulltime

    Bachelor’s degree required: YES

    Our client is an established real estate law firm with offices throughout California.  Their Irvine office is seeking an experienced landlord-tenant attorney to join our fast-paced team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling commercial and mobile home unlawful detainer evictions, potentially through trial, as well as pre-litigation residential and commercial landlord-tenant disputes on behalf of property owners and managers. We are seeking a team player with a positive attitude who can develop strong relationships with our extensive client base while providing high-quality and effective representation.


    ***Client will consider candidates with general business/civil litigation (trial) experience***

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide legal representation to clients, assessing the facts and issues of each scenario and counseling clients appropriately
    • Review documents and guide clients through the eviction process
    • Provide legal advice through phone consultations, emails, and video conferences
    • Draft legal correspondence, including letters and notices
    • Litigate unlawful detainer trials throughout Southern California courts
    • Draft pre-trial motions and pleadings
    • Represent the firm internally and externally
    • Complete project-based work and additional duties as needed to support the practice group

     

    The successful candidate will be required to make court appearances. This position has a billable hour goal of 1600 hours p/year.

     

    Qualifications:

    Our client is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

    • J.D. from an accredited law school and an active California Bar license
    • 5+ years of civil litigation experience
    • General knowledge of landlord-tenant law
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Strong written and oral communication skills

     

    The following qualifications are preferred:

    • Trial experience
    • Experience in the rental housing industry
    • Lexis/Westlaw experience
    • Experience with case management and/or document management systems
