Description

Overview: The Associate, Investment Analytics will support the Investment Analytics function within the company, providing investment performance, attribution, risk, and portfolio analytics across the firm’s investment strategies.
The role will partner closely with portfolio management, investment teams, and other stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely analytics that support investment decision-making, portfolio oversight, client reporting, and broader business requirements.
 
Role Description

The Associate will be responsible for producing, analyzing, and validating investment analytics across portfolios and benchmarks. This includes performance measurement and attribution, portfolio and risk analytics, data validation, and responding to analytical requests from investment professionals and other stakeholders.

The position requires a strong understanding of investment products and financial markets, particularly fixed income instruments and derivatives, along with the ability to work with large datasets and investment analytics platforms.

The Associate will also contribute to improving analytical processes, reporting capabilities, data quality, and automation across the Investment Analytics function.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
·         Produce and analyze investment performance and attribution across portfolios and benchmarks.
·         Perform portfolio analytics to support portfolio managers, investment teams, and other internal stakeholders.
·         Analyze portfolio positioning, exposures, risk characteristics, and performance drivers.
·         Support analytics across fixed income securities, derivatives, and other investment instruments.
·         Review, validate, and reconcile investment data to ensure the accuracy and integrity of analytics and reporting.
·         Investigate and resolve performance, attribution, benchmark, and data discrepancies.
·         Respond to ad hoc investment analytics requests from portfolio management and other business stakeholders.
·         Work with large datasets from multiple investment systems and data sources.
·         Assist with the development and enhancement of investment analytics tools, reporting processes, and analytical capabilities.
·         Identify opportunities to automate and streamline recurring analytics and reporting processes.
·         Collaborate with investment, technology, operations, and data teams to improve analytical workflows and data quality.
·         Support ongoing enhancements to investment analytics methodologies, systems, and reporting.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
·         Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
·         Relevant professional experience within investment management, asset management, investment analytics, performance measurement, or a related financial services environment.
·         Strong understanding of investment performance measurement and attribution.
·         Knowledge of fixed income securities, financial markets, portfolio analytics, and derivatives.
·         Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex investment and portfolio data.
·         Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience working with large datasets and analytical models.
·         Experience with VBA and/or SQL for data analysis, process automation, or reporting.
·         Experience with investment and market data platforms such as Bloomberg and FactSet.
·         Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on data accuracy and quality.
·         Ability to investigate analytical discrepancies and identify underlying causes.
·         Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate analytical findings clearly.
·         Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
·         CFA designation or progress toward the CFA designation is beneficial.
