Associate Accountant

The Associate Accountant – External Reporting will assist with preparing financial reports, supporting SEC compliance activities, researching accounting issues, and maintaining accurate financial records. This developmental role provides hands-on exposure to public company financial reporting, internal controls, forecasting, and financial applications while helping build technical accounting expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and filing SEC reports, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K.
  
  
• Support earnings releases and other external financial reporting requirements.
  
  
• Prepare and post journal entries for routine accounting transactions.
  
  
• Research basic accounting issues and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  
  
• Assist with preparing financial statement disclosures and supporting documentation.
  
  
• Create accounting reports, reconciliations, analyses, and spreadsheet-based reporting.
  
  
• Collaborate with Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting teams.
  
  
• Support forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting activities.
  
  
• Develop knowledge of company business processes, accounting systems, and organizational structure.
  
  
• Maintain accurate documentation while meeting reporting deadlines.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  
  
• Basic knowledge of U.S. GAAP or applicable accounting principles.
  
  
• Understanding of financial statements and accounting fundamentals.
  
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
  
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative corporate environment.
  
  
• No previous accounting experience required.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or academic project experience in accounting or finance.
  
  
• Interest in SEC reporting, external reporting, and technical accounting.
  
  
• Familiarity with financial reporting and corporate accounting processes.
