Job Summary

The Associate Account Manager supports day-to-day customer account management and sales activities while developing the skills needed to grow into a fully independent account owner. This role partners closely with customers and cross-functional internal teams to execute sales strategies, support new business opportunities, and deliver a high level of customer satisfaction. Based in Milpitas, CA, this position follows an on-site/hybrid work model and is ideal for a motivated professional seeking to build a long-term career in technical sales within a global organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own and execute revenue/budget targets for assigned accounts.
  • Support management of assigned customer accounts and serve as a primary and/or secondary point of contact.
  • Partner with internal teams, including engineering, production, and overseas teams in Japan and Singapore, to support customer requirements and resolve issues.
  • Assist with the execution of sales strategies to support revenue growth and customer retention goals.
  • Monitor sales activity and prepare regular reports, including weekly updates, forecasts, and monthly presentations.
  • Identify and follow up on new business opportunities and customer leads.
  • Coordinate with factory teams on quotation requests, pricing, and proposal preparation.
  • Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and industry events with guidance from senior team members.
  • Build product and industry knowledge to effectively support customer discussions and technical inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, communication logs, and pipeline updates in internal systems.
  • Travel domestically for customer visits approximately 2–6 times per quarter.
  • Support occasional international travel to Japan and/or Singapore as business needs require.
  • Collaborate effectively across global teams and participate in meetings across multiple time zones as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in sales, account management, customer success, or a related customer-facing role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to support sales initiatives and business growth.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
  • Ability to work in an on-site/hybrid environment in the Bay Area.
  • Flexibility to participate in meetings with global teams, including Asia time zones.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Preferred:

  • Experience or familiarity with the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience supporting technical products or working in a B2B sales environment.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role within a global or cross-functional organization.
  • Background in engineering, materials science, or another related technical discipline.
  • Japanese language skills are a plus but not required.
