    Associate Account Manager, Building Materials

    The Associate Account Manager, Building Materials is responsible for successfully supporting miscellaneous sales opportunities and various custom projects.

    Reporting To: Director, Strategic Accounts

    Exemption Status: Exempt

    Function:

    • Visualizes, defines, plans, communicates, and implements the company vision and core values.
    • Supports the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager roles in their delivery of sales and projects.
    • Coordinates on site deliveries and installation of products.
    • Reviews, understand, and adhere to Sunpro policies and procedures.
    • Perform all duties in compliance with Sunpro safety requirements.
    • Assesses customer needs and provides appropriate support/project solution.
    • Provides timely and accurate pricing/quote information to current and prospective customers.
    • Enters customer orders/transactions in Biztrack and confirms that price, discount level and product requirements are correct.
    • Performs appropriate purchasing and data input activities associated with the fulfillment of custom and miscellaneous orders.
    • Supports the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager to ensure availability and timely delivery of services and products.
    • Supports the preparation and maintenance of accurate sales activity.
    • Helps the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager in researching new opportunities, markets and products.
    • May assist with installation and various field tasks as needed.
    • Maintains an insurable driving record.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge And Skills:

    • Effective sales and customer service
    • Basic Knowledge of SPC's products and
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Proficient in excel.
    • Lumber estimating, take offs, and proficient in interpreting building plans.
    • Ability to safely navigate a job site.
    • Able to accurately assess customer project and design needs and provide value-adding solutions.
    • Functions effectively as part of a high-performance production team.
    • Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment.
    • Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and strong desire to learn with minimal supervision.
    • Highly organized and detail oriented.
    • Demonstrates professionalism and personal responsibility in the performance of duties.
    • Basic understanding of rough carpentry.

    Education/Experience :

    • High School Degree/GED.
    • Bachelor's degree in construction management or applicable field or the equivalent in relevant work experience.
    • Strong computer proficiencies, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
    • Valid driver's license; clean driving record.

    Physical Requirements :

    • Physical Work Requirements - Medium: exerting up to 50 lbs of force regularly.
    • Repetitive motion associated with operating equipment.
    • Regular exposure to the elements.
