Duties of the Position: Assist the Head Volleyball Coach with all aspects of SHSs volleyball program as assigned. The assistant coach should be a developer, teacher, achiever, and problem solver who demonstrates a high degree of integrity, trust, responsibility, positivity, and flexibility.

Special Skills Required: The preferred candidate will have knowledge in the sport of volleyball, experience coaching high school-age students, and a proven coaching background. Additional skills would include the ability to work collaboratively with parents, coaches, booster club, youth programs, and administrative staff to provide the best possible experience for our student-athletes. Demonstrates a high degree of empathy, positivity, trust, responsibility, discipline, and flexibility. Is a developer, teacher, achiever, and problem solver. Understanding of the dynamics, expectations, and realistic demands of a high school experience.

Degree/Special Training Required: Certified and will maintain certification in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, and AED operation. Coaches who are not licensed to teach are required to take a coaching fundamentals course.

Work Schedule of the Position: Must be available for daily practices and competitions for the fall sports season.
