The Asset Management Operations Department is responsible for protecting and enhancing the value of City-owned real estate assets and supporting the operational needs of NYCEDC's property portfolio.
Position Overview: The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Field Operations and Maintenance oversees the Vacant and Development Lots and Area Maintenance programs, including their day-to-day operations, administration, budgeting, procurement, reporting, and stakeholder coordination. The AVP provides program-level leadership over supervisors, field staff, work crews, and service delivery partners to ensure cleaning, clearing, maintenance, and public realm maintenance services are delivered effectively and efficiently across City-owned sites, Industrial Business Zones, maritime properties, vacant lots, and other assigned locations throughout the five boroughs.
This role maintains overall accountability for program performance and service delivery, including budget and expenditure management, procurement, compliance, reporting, stakeholder communication, staff supervision, performance management, and continuous improvement. Field-level daily deployment and direct crew supervision may be assigned to a designated field supervisor or field employee, while this role retains overall accountability for program performance and service delivery.
