How your work would contribute to our organization and the Twin Cities region:
The Assistant Transportation Manager assists in planning, supervising, and managing daily activities and overall performance of bus operators and dispatching staff within one of Metro Transits bus garages. The position is responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of bus transit services within the region.
This posting will establish an eight-month eligibility list for current and future openings.

What your work environment would be: Position works in an office environment. Able to work non-standard hours and may be required to change scheduled days off and assignments on short notice. Some travel to other facilities is required. Up to one third of the time, this position works near moving parts or equipment and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, and moderate noise.
