Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our team! You will be assisting a lead teacher in a toddler classroom helping the children with their self-care needs, supporting the lead teacher's instructions to meet students’ collective and individual needs, supporting daily student activities inside and outside of the classroom, maintaining a calm, caring attitude and constant observation of the children to respectfully enforce ground rules and classroom behavior guidelines, using  Positive Discipline techniques to aid in the social and emotional development of each child, and interacting with other parents and other staff in a positive manner.

You are passionate about learning and helping students reach their potential. With strong creative and problem-solving skills, you love connecting with individual students and creating an engaging classroom environment. 

Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead teacher in following a comprehensive toddler curriculum
  • Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
  • Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques to foster emotional and educational growth
  • Communicate with parents and other school personnel
  • Assist lead teacher in assessing student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
  • Problem-solving and mediation skills
  • At least 3 Early Childhood Education units and willing to complete up to 12 Early Childhood Education units
  • Must be patient and loving
Compensation: $21.00 per hour
