    Description

    Provides administrative support for Special Needs Ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church ("PBC") Plano Campus.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide administrative assistance including scheduling appointments, answering telephones, ordering office supplies, and other administrative duties
    • Respond to requests and inquiries from Special Needs Ministry leadership, teachers, members, attendees, and prospects
    • Provide administrative support for LifeGroups including running reports, preparing and updating rosters, classroom assignments, and other resources as needed
    • Compose and distribute correspondence for Special Needs Ministry
    • Coordinate with appropriate church staff for the purpose of organizing ministry events
    • Assist with enlisting volunteers for special assignments and needs in the Special Needs Ministry
    • Ensure volunteer screening processes are followed
    • Maintain volunteer background lists and request updates as required
    • Serve alongside the Special Needs staff as needed
    • Assist with the coordination of the New Christians one on ones and baptism scheduling for Special Friends
    • Prepare materials for training
    • Assist with preparation for special events conducted by the Special Needs Ministry
    • Maintain files
    • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    • Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC
    • Have a joyful passion for Disability Ministry
    • Experience in an administrative role
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills
    • Team player
    • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
    • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products
    • Ability to work a varied schedule, generally Monday - Friday with occasional Sundays and Wednesday nights as needed
    • Continuous use of computer and phone
