About the Role:
The School of the Arts at Northern Kentucky University invites applications for an Associate Teaching Professor position in one or more of the following applied areas; flute, clarinet, oboe or bassoon and Woodwind Area Coordinator within the Music Program, beginning Fall 2027. This position''s main responsibilities are to teach a full undergraduate course load each semester (typically a combination of courses and applied lessons) and share curriculum oversight; maintain creative/ professional achievement; and service to the university and community. As a NASM accredited program, teaching responsibilities adhere to loads as prescribed by NASM.
The School of the Arts at Northern Kentucky University offers a wide array of degree programs in the visual and performing arts. The Music Program within the School of the Arts offers a BME in Music Education (Choral/Vocal and Instrumental), a BM in Performance (Instrumental, Jazz Studies, Piano Pedagogy, and Voice) a BM in Composition (Traditional Composition or Commercial Music Production) and a BA in Music (Liberal Studies).
