Location: The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards, New York, NY

Pay: $18-$20 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Assistant Teacher - Early Childhood Classrooms

The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support classrooms serving infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. This role focuses on helping maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment while supporting teachers with daily routines and learning experiences.

This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy working as part of a collaborative teaching team in a structured early childhood setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support classroom routines and daily learning activities
• Assist with developmentally appropriate experiences across age groups
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
• Help guide children through meals, transitions, and learning centers
• Support classroom preparation and activity setup
• Communicate professionally with families and team members
• Follow all New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Prior childcare or preschool experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, nurturing, and professional approach
• Must meet New York State childcare licensing requirements
