Assistant Teacher

Tamarack Waldorf School is currently seeking part-time Assistants for the 2026-2027 school year. The qualified candidates must have a love for the work and play of children and demonstrate care and patience for children ages 4-14. Tamarack Waldorf School has a robust K - 8th grade enrollment of approximately 215 students and participates in the Milwaukee Parental Choice (voucher) Program. We have a culturally, economically, and racially diverse student body from throughout the Milwaukee region and strive to meet the needs of every student. Our teachers are trained in many disciplines with a focus on healthy child development. They are innovative, professional, and will guide their assistants through a deeper understanding of the curriculum. Tamarack faculty and students are fortunate the school is within walking distance of many nature settings in an urban landscape, such as the Milwaukee River and Lake Michigan. Candidates must have a love for outdoors and a passion for exploration of the neighborhood. Assistants may be required to walk two miles or more in a day, in all weather, and on varied terrain.
