Introduction:


We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Toddler Teacher to join our team and provide high-quality care and education to toddlers in our child care center. The Toddler Teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for toddlers, planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, and communicating with parents about their child's development and progress. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be able to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff.


Responsibilities:


  • Create a nurturing and stimulating environment for toddlers, including providing emotional and physical support as well as providing personal hygiene care

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of toddlers

  • Communicate with parents about their child's development and progress, including providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or questions

  • Follow all policies and procedures related to the care and education of toddlers, including adhering to safety protocols and maintaining accurate records

  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure continuity of care and education

  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:


  • Must have the ability to pass a National BCI and CANTS

  • Must have one: GED, High School Diploma, or College degree

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff

  • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities for toddlers


  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, bend, sit on floor, run, other activities
  • Ability to complete 24 hours a year of training
  • Ability to attend staff meetings
