The Learning Experience - Manassas City is hiring an experienced Assistant Teacher to support our early childhood classrooms and help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children.
Were looking for a dependable, caring educator who enjoys working with young children, supporting Lead Teachers, and making a positive difference in childrens daily experiences.
What Youll Do
Assist Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities, routines, and transitions
Support implementation of The Learning Experiences L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Engage children through stories, music, art, sensory play, and hands-on learning
Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
Support meals, rest time, toileting, and daily care routines as appropriate
Use positive guidance to encourage independence and appropriate behavior
Maintain active supervision and required classroom ratios
Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers
Follow Virginia childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications
Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood classroom experience required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience supporting classroom routines and supervising young children
Patient, dependable, nurturing, and team-oriented
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Must meet applicable Virginia childcare licensing, background screening, and regulatory requirements
