    Lil Sunflowers Learning Academy is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our growing team. As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work alongside our Lead Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children can learn, explore, and thrive every day.

    What You'll Do

    • Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences.
    • Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
    • Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
    • Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
    • Supervise children at all times while ensuring compliance with Michigan Child Care Licensing Rules.
    • Assist with diapering, toileting, meals, nap time, and daily classroom routines.
    • Document children's daily activities through our parent communication app.
    • Encourage positive behavior while supporting children's independence and confidence.
    • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to create a fun, welcoming learning environment.
    What We're Looking For

    • Passion for working with young children.

    • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
    • Ability to work well as part of a team.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Experience in a licensed childcare center is preferred but not required—we are happy to train the right person!
    • Must be able to pass the Michigan Child Care Background Check (CCBC).
    • Must meet all State of Michigan licensing requirements for employment in a licensed childcare center.

    Job Type: Full-Time
