Assistant Teacher – Early Childhood Education
Location: The Learning Experience – Cascade, MI
Pay:$16–$18 per hour (based on experience and credentials)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday


The Learning Experience – Cascade is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team.


Working alongside experienced Lead Teachers, you'll help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children learn through play, build friendships, and develop important early skills.


What You'll Do

• Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom routines and learning activities
  
  
• Engage children through play, art, music, sensory activities, and hands-on learning
  
  
• Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
  
  
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance
  
  
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
  
  
• Build positive relationships with children and families
  
  
• Collaborate with teaching teams and center leadership
  
  
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
  
  
• Previous daycare, preschool, or childcare experience preferred
  
  
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
  
  
• Patient, dependable, nurturing, and team-oriented
  
  
• Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
