Pay: $16-$18 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

The Learning Experience - Jenison is hiring a Full-Time Assistant Teacher to work alongside our experienced Lead Teachers and help create safe, positive, and engaging classroom experiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities and routines
- Engage children through stories, art, sensory play, music, movement, and hands-on experiences
- Assist with meals, rest time, diapering, toileting, and transitions as appropriate
- Encourage children's independence and positive social interactions
- Use positive guidance and age-appropriate classroom management
- Help maintain appropriate supervision and classroom ratios
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Keep classrooms clean, safe, organized, and welcoming
- Collaborate with teachers and center leadership
- Follow Michigan licensing and center requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous childcare, daycare, preschool, or experience working with children preferred
- Professional early childhood experience is a plus, but not required
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
- Willingness to learn and complete required training
- Reliable, patient, positive, and team-oriented
- Must meet Michigan licensing requirements for the position
