Assistant Teacher - Daycare & Preschool

Location: The Learning Experience - Clarkston, MI

Pay: $16-$18 per hour (based on experience and credentials)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - Clarkston is seeking a positive and dependable Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with children and wants to build or continue a career in childcare. Youll work alongside Lead Teachers to create safe, engaging classrooms where children learn through play and positive relationships.

What Youll Do

• Support Lead Teachers with classroom routines and learning activities

• Engage children through play, art, music, sensory activities, and hands-on learning

• Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions

• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom

• Build positive relationships with children and families

• Collaborate with teachers and center leadership

• Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Previous daycare, preschool, or childcare experience preferred

• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus

• Dependable, patient, energetic, and team-oriented

• Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
