The Goddard School in Hillsborough is looking for assistant teachers who love seeing children succeed and supporting activities and care in a like-minded community!
 Requirements for Full-Time Positions:
- Applicants must love supporting children and families of all ages and kinds!
- Applicants must have availability to be scheduled to work between 7 am and 6 pm, 35-40 hours per week
- Applicants must commit to continued growth and ongoing training in a NAEYC-accredited center
- Must be able and excited to participate in all aspects of children's care

Assistant Teacher Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment 
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging
• Assist in communicating with families about their child’s progress and daily activities
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting 
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children
• Works productively without supervision
• Basic understanding of child development
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements
