The Learning Experience - Canton is seeking dependable and enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to support our early childhood classrooms.
Working alongside experienced Lead Teachers, youll help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, build friendships, and develop new skills every day.
This is a great opportunity for someone with childcare experience who wants to continue developing professionally and potentially grow into a Lead Teacher role.
What Youll Do
Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities and routines
Engage children in play-based learning, sensory activities, music, art, and early learning experiences
Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance
Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
Build positive relationships with children and families
Step into different classrooms when additional support is needed
Follow Michigan childcare licensing and safety requirements
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Previous experience in a daycare, preschool, or childcare environment preferred
CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
Reliable, flexible, patient, and team-oriented
Strong communication skills
Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
