Job Specifications

The City is seeking someone who enjoys working with people and is passionate about creating programs and experiences that bring the community together as an Assistant Recreation Center Supervisor. This position provides responsible professional, administrative, and supervisory support in the direction and operation of a comprehensive recreation program at a City recreation center.

This is responsible professional and administrative work assisting in the direction of a comprehensive program at a City recreation center. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Recreation Center Supervisor; however, the employee must exercise considerable independent judgment and initiative in carrying out assignments.

The position requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to coordinate multiple programs and priorities, and the confidence to work independently while supporting the overall goals and objectives of the Citys recreation services.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Recreation Center Supervisor will provide administrative and supervisory oversight and assistance in a variety of areas, including:

  • Developing, planning, organizing, and coordinating recreation programs and activities for individuals of various ages and interests.
  • Assisting with the preparation of administrative reports, purchasing activities, and personnel-related functions.
  • Assisting with the preparation, monitoring, and oversight of the facility budget.
  • Supporting public relations, marketing, and community outreach efforts related to the recreation center and its programs.
  • Serving as an instructor or program leader for selected recreation programs and activities.

Minimum Training & Experience

Necessary Special Requirements

May be required to obtain or possess specialty certifications related to employment

Salary Range

$21.6689 to $58.7999/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $38.6824/hour.

Drivers License Requirements

Must possess a valid Class-E State drivers license at the time of appointment.
