Building And Construction Assistant Superintendent
As an Building and Construction Assistant Superintendent, you will:
- Assist with day-to-day jobsite operations
- Coordinate subcontractors and field personnel
- Monitor project schedules and construction progress
- Conduct site walks and quality inspections
- Help enforce safety policies and OSHA compliance
- Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics
- Review construction drawings and project specifications
- Track daily activities and maintain jobsite documentation
- Assist in resolving field issues and coordinating solutions
- Participate in project meetings with subcontractors and stakeholders
- Support punch-list completion and project closeout activities

A successful Building and Construction Assistant Superintendent candidate will have:
- 2-5 years of construction field experience
- Experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, Lead Carpenter, Project Engineer, or similar role
- Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and jobsite best practices
- Strong work ethic and desire for career advancement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multi-family construction experience
- Commercial construction experience
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades
- Background in carpentry, masonry, or another skilled trade
- Construction Management education or equivalent field experience
- Desire to advance into a Superintendent position
