REPORTS
TO :
Superintendent of Schools SUPERVISES : Assigned administrative, instructional, and support personnel. JOB GOAL :
To assist the Superintendent of Schools in providing leadership for the district. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES : 1.
Assists
the
Superintendent
of
Schools
in
all
areas
of
district
leadership.
2.
Assumes
all
leadership
responsibility
in
the
absence
of
the
Superintendent
of
Schools,
or
at
his/her
direction.
3.
Assists
with
the
preparation
and
administration
of
district
and
school
budgets,
grants
and

reports. 4.
Evaluates
and
articulates
all
district
curriculum.Evaluates
scope,
structure,
and
content
of
all
district
instructional
programs.
5.
Monitors
and
analyzes
all
assessments,
including
federal,
state,
and
local
testing.
6.
Assists
in
the
hiring
of
highly
qualied
workforce
and
in
planning
and
administration
of
sta
development.
7.
Resolves
parent
concerns
referred
by
school
principals.
8.
Establishes
and
maintains
procedures
for
referral
and
cooperative
planning
with
children's
services
agencies.
9.
Maintains
liaison
with
professional,
civic,
volunteer
groups
and
community
agencies.
10.
Attends
board
meetings
and
prepares
such
reports
for
the
board
as
the
Superintendent
may
request.
11.
Provides
guidance
and
oversight
to
all
principals
in
the
eective
evaluation
and
supervision
of
personnel.
12.
Performs
all
duties
as
may
be
assigned
by
the
Superintendent
of
Schools. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : Salary to be determined by the Board of Education and commensurate with experience. Work year

be

accordance
with
the
approved
District
Calendar
and
Board
of
Education
vacation
policy. EVALUATION : Performance of the job to be evaluated annually in accordance with state law and Board of Education
policy
on
evaluation
procedures
for

administrative
