Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily Construction

Malas Development is seeking a motivated Assistant Superintendent to join our team on large-scale multifamily projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow into a Lead Superintendent role while working alongside an experienced field team.

You will work directly with our Senior Superintendent and Project Management team to coordinate subcontractors, maintain quality, keep the project on schedule, and ensure the jobsite operates safely and efficiently.

This position is intended for someone looking to build a long-term career. Our goal is to develop the right candidate into a Superintendent capable of running a 75–100 unit multifamily project independently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily field operations.
• Manage and communicate with subcontractors to keep work on schedule.
• Walk the project daily to monitor quality and progress.
• Identify issues early and help develop solutions before they impact the schedule.
• Review drawings and coordinate with the project team.
• Perform quality control inspections and maintain punch lists.
• Coordinate inspections with local officials and consultants.
• Assist with material deliveries and logistics.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
• Utilize Procore for documentation, photos, RFIs, and field coordination.
• Communicate effectively with the Superintendent, Project Manager, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of construction field experience.
• Multifamily construction experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of wood framing and interior finishes.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Procore experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to hold subcontractors accountable while maintaining professional relationships.
