Assistant Superintendent – Commercial Construction
Location: Houston, TX
We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join a growing commercial construction team supporting interior renovation and fit-out projects in Houston, TX. Projects include restaurant, retail, and concession build-outs within an active airport environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has gained solid field experience and is looking to continue learning and growing with a reputable team.
Responsibilities
Assist the Superintendent with day-to-day field operations
Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and project activities onsite
Help maintain project schedules and ensure work is completed on time
Monitor jobsite safety and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Participate in daily site walks and quality control inspections
Track progress and communicate updates to project leadership
Help resolve field issues and support project coordination efforts
Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and company standards
Work closely with airport personnel, vendors, and trade partners in active construction environments
Qualifications
5 years of commercial construction experience
Experience with interior construction, tenant improvements, restaurant, retail, or hospitality projects preferred
Experience working for a commercial general contractor strongly preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple activities simultaneously
Motivated and eager to grow
OSHA certification is a plus
