Job Description

The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the successful delivery of a ground-up multifamily development in Ashburn, VA.
  • Partnering closely with the Senior Superintendent to manage daily field operations and project execution.
  • Taking ownership of designated areas of construction including concrete, framing, MEP, drywall, interiors, and closeout activities.
  • Coordinating subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.
  • Monitoring project progress, track milestones, and supporting schedule management using industry-leading tools.
  • Conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.
  • Facilitating communication between field teams, subcontractors, and project leadership.
  • Supporting project turnover and transitioning to future developments upon project completion.
  • Contributing to the successful delivery of an eight-story, mixed-structure multifamily development and future regional projects.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Superintendent should have:

  • 6+ years of commercial construction experience.
  • Ground-up multifamily or hotel construction experience required.
  • Strong understanding of concrete and wood-frame construction.
  • Ability to independently manage a scope or phase of work from start to finish.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and maintaining project schedules.
  • Familiarity with all phases of construction from sitework through final finishes.
  • Working knowledge of Procore and Microsoft Project preferred.
  • OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certifications are highly desirable.
  • Construction-related degree preferred but not required.
  • Local to the Northern Virginia market or willing to travel.
