Assistant Superintendent - Commercial - Charlotte

Our client primarily builds in the industrial, healthcare, education and educational housing sectors of the market, but they are also active in corporate interiors and other general commercial building. The Assistant Superintendent - Commercial - Charlotte will be responsible for: Meeting weekly and communicating daily with subcontractors to assess project progress, schedule, changes and deliveries.

The Assistant Superintendent - Commercial - Charlotte will be responsible for:

• Meeting weekly and communicating daily with subcontractors to assess project progress, schedule, changes and deliveries.
• Managing the site through completion.
• Proactively identifying design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project specific issues.
• Attaining a thorough and complete understanding of the Prime Contract, all subcontracts, the drawings, and specifications.
• Enforcing safety protocols to ensure job site consistently meets or exceeds OSHA safety standards.
• Maintaining appropriate documentation throughout the project including change order logs, RFI logs, and submittal lots.
• Communicating daily with owners, tenant reps, construction managers, superintendents and project coordinators to ensure progress toward the common goal is achieved.

The Assistant Superintendent - Commercial - Charlotte will have:

• 3+ years of construction field experience with a general contractor is required
• Experience on ground-up industrial, healthcare, and/or commercial construction projects is required
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant degree preferred
• Developed thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project success
• Maintains good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with anyone from clients to subcontractors
• Must be a business-oriented person and act professionally when representing the employer at any level
• Local to Charelston and relocators will be considered

The Assistant Superintendent - Commercial - Charlotte will receive:

• Base salary contingent on experience, ranging roughly $65,000-$90,000
• Annual Bonuses
• Company Vehicle with gas card
• Per diem allowance when traveling plus lodging near project site
