Building And Construction Assistant Superintendent
As a Building and Construction Assistant Superintendent in Buffalo, NY you will:
- Assist in managing daily field operations on active construction projects
- Support subcontractor scheduling and coordination
- Help maintain project schedules and track progress
- Conduct routine site walks and quality inspections
- Assist with site safety enforcement and OSHA compliance
- Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics
- Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Maintain daily reports and project documentation
- Participate in subcontractor and safety meetings
- Identify and communicate field issues to project leadership
- Support punch-list completion and project closeout efforts
- Work closely with the Superintendent and Project Management team to ensure successful project execution

The ideal Building and Construction Assistant Superintendent candidate will have:
- 2+ years of construction field experience
- Experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, Project Engineer, Lead Carpenter, or similar role
- Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and jobsite safety practices
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and trades
- A proactive attitude and desire to advance into a Superintendent role
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-family construction experience
- Mixed-use or residential development experience
- Experience working on ground-up construction projects
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Construction Management degree or related education
- Proficiency with construction technology and project management software
