As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and developing our team, ensuring top-notch customer service, and contributing to the success of our store.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager and the Owner in managing all aspects of store operations and act as the Store Manager when scheduled
- Manage sales, expenses, profits, assets, and team members' personal development
- Ensure the highest level of customer service
- Inventory Management - receiving, cycle counts, ordering
- Merchandising - Implement planogram resets and organize/reorganize merchandise to promote sales
- This is NOT solely a back-office management role. The successful candidate will have the ability and desire to work on the floor alongside store associates assisting customers and loading vehicles as well as handling administrative functions.
Requirements:
- Prior retail management experience is strongly preferred. This is NOT an entry level position. Candidate must have prior work experience in retail or a similar business and must have demonstrated leadership capability or served in a leadership role previously.
- Available and willing to work weekends
- Proficient with computers and computer systems
- Professional in appearance and demeanor
- Strong customer focus with exceptional customer service skills
- Knowledge of home improvement
- Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently and stand/walk for up to 8 hours
- Experience operating a forktruck
