Assistant Store Manager

What started as a single drive-thru coffeehouse in Bellevue, Nebraska has grown into a nationwide brand built on hand-tamped espresso, scratch-made pastries, and a promise we take seriously: Amazing People, Amazing Drinks. We're opening the first Scooter's Coffee in this part of South Florida, and we're looking for someone to run it alongside the owner.

Scooter's is a drive-thru coffee brand built on three things: amazing people, amazing drinks, amazingly fast. This is a brand-new store at Cypress Commons on N. Pine Island Road in Tamarac, with new equipment, a new team, and a real say in how it runs from day one. You'll help hire and train the opening team before we open in mid-January.

What you'll do

• Run the store when the Store Manager isn't there.
• Lead the closing shift as one of the two key-holders.
• Keep drinks fast and right, even at the busiest times.
• Train new baristas and coach the ones ready to become Shift Leads.
• Handle deliveries, inventory, cash and the closing checklist.

What we're looking for

• At least 1 year supervising or leading shifts in coffee, food service or fast-paced retail.
• Speaking Spanish is a plus.
• Warm with customers and calm with your team when it gets busy.
• Available for closing shifts and weekends.
• Able to travel to Dallas, TX for Scooter's barista and manager training, November 3–12. Travel, hotel and your time are paid.
• No coffee experience needed. We'll train you.

What you get

• $23–$25 an hour, depending on experience. About 38 hours a week, with overtime paid at time and a half.
• Paid sick time: 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
• Free coffee and a free food item every shift, plus 50% off when you're off the clock.
• Free uniform and paid training, including Scooter's manager certification.
• Tuition help: up to $5,250 a year toward an online degree with Bellevue University (full-time students), and up to $2,500 for family members.
• 30% off Skechers work shoes.
• Room to grow: we plan to open more stores, and this role is first in line.

• 8201-A N. Pine Island Road, Tamarac. Drive-thru only.
• Store hours: about 5am to 8pm, 7 days a week.
• Start date: Monday, October 26. The store opens in mid-January.
