Associated Staffing is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Kearney, NE! This position is ideal for a dependable, motivated individual with supervisory experience who enjoys leading a team, providing excellent customer service and keeping daily retail operations running smoothly.
The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, supervising employees, maintaining store standards and creating a positive shopping experience. This position will also be responsible for managing the store in the Store Manager's absence.
Assist with training, supervising and motivating store employees to achieve performance goals.
Oversee daily sales floor operations including stocking, merchandising, organizing and maintaining cleanliness.
Support donation center and backroom operations including sorting, processing and preparing merchandise for the sales floor.
Monitor product quality, inventory flow and daily production goals.
Assist with opening and closing the store as needed.
Provide leadership and direction to employees in the Store Manager's absence.
Ensure store policies, procedures and safety standards are followed.
Assist with cashier duties and cash handling when needed.
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with customers, donors and coworkers.
Help create an organized, welcoming and enjoyable shopping environment.
Promote teamwork, professionalism and a positive work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with the public required.
Previous supervisory experience required.
Valid Nebraska driver's license and ability to meet applicable insurance requirements.
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate employees, delegate responsibilities and resolve problems.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic math and cash-handling skills.
Ability to make sound decisions and work independently.
Dependable with a strong work ethic and consistent attendance.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Ability to stand, walk and remain active throughout an 8-hour workday.
Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds.
Ability to perform hands-on retail tasks including stocking, organizing and moving merchandise.
Pay: $18.00/hr
Schedule: Variable hours throughout a seven-day week
Availability: Must be available for some evenings, weekends and holidays
