Position Summary
The Assistant Starbucks Manager supports the Starbucks Manager in leading all aspects of the in-store Starbucks café. This role focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience, maintaining beverage and food quality standards, supporting team development, and ensuring operational excellence in alignment with company and Starbucks brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Café Operations
Assist in daily operations of the Starbucks department
Ensure beverages and food items are prepared to Starbucks standards
Monitor speed of service and maintain efficient workflow during peak periods
Support opening, closing, and daily operational routines
Customer Experience
Deliver a welcoming, high-quality Starbucks experience
Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty
Address customer concerns and resolve issues quickly and professionally
Maintain a clean, inviting café environment at all times
Product Quality & Standards
Ensure consistency in beverage recipes, food preparation, and presentation
Monitor product freshness, rotation, and waste control
Maintain proper equipment usage and cleanliness standards
Ensure compliance with Starbucks policies and brand expectations
Inventory & Ordering
Assist with ordering and inventory management
Receive and verify deliveries for accuracy and quality
Maintain proper stock levels of coffee, food items, and supplies
Team Leadership
Support training, coaching, and development of baristas
Reinforce Starbucks service culture and operational standards
Delegate tasks and ensure completion of daily responsibilities
Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment
Food Safety & Compliance
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines
Ensure compliance with company policies and Starbucks licensing standards
Maintain cleanliness of all prep, service, and seating areas
