POSITION SUMMARY |
The Assistant Ski Patrol Manager assists the Ski Patrol Manager in overseeing the establishment and implementation of safety procedures for Mt. Rose as it applies to guests visiting the ski area and the employees of Mt. Rose. The Assistant Ski Patrol Manager fills the role of the Ski Patrol Manager in their absence. |

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES |
o Oversee all employees of the Patrol Department in training and performing their duties in the following areas. · Identify, reduce and/ or eliminate hazards on ski runs with regard to signing, markings and flagging. · Provide first aid and transportation for injured guests and employees. · Complete incident report forms on injured guests and employees and perform incident investigations as needed. · Provide courtesy transportation to non-injured guests. · Provide search and rescue, avalanche rescue and lift evacuation services as needed. · Provide avalanche mitigation and snow safety evaluations as required. · Promote and enforce safe “on mountain” behavior as it applies to the Skier Responsibility Code. o Assist the Ski Patrol Manager in securing current licensing from ATF and maintaining proper procedures regarding the storage and handling of explosives. o Assist the Ski Patrol Manager in administering the Mt. Rose Operating Plan as submitted to the USFS. o Assist the Ski Patrol Manager in communicating and coordinating with NDOT. o Assist the Ski Patrol Manager in checking and editing employee timecards for payroll processing. o Assist the Ski patrol Manager in Maintaining Nevada EMS Agency and Training Center permit |
MARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES |
o Coordinate and cooperate with other departments as necessary in the completion of the above essential duties. o Provide information and answer questions about the resort to resort guests. o Any other duties that may contribute to the cleanliness, orderliness and overall efficiency of the entire operation and all of the tasks contained therein. |
