The Project:
Mace, as part of MPA delivery partner joint venture of Mace-Parsons-Arcadis, have been selected as the Gateway Development Commissions partners of choice to support the GDC across the Gateway Program in New York, inclusive of the Hudson Tunnel Project.
The busiest rail connection between New York, New Jersey, and the Northeast Corridor, the Hudson Tunnel Project will improve capacity, reliability, and resiliency of commuter and intercity rail transit serving 800,000 daily passengers from Washington, D.C. to New York and New England. A milestone project supported by the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the project is slated to receive nearly $12 billion in federal funding, the largest investment in a mass transit project in modern history.

You'll Be Responsible For:
Responsible for assuring the assessment, management and mitigation of risk in accordance with regulation and business standards.
Drives change through communication, persuasion, engagement and innovation.
Supports the integration of the Operational HSW job family into an efficient, effective and cohesive team.
Monitors and report on performance, provide advice, guidance and expertise as needed.
Translates business strategy and objectives into local business plan/s.
Collaborates with operational directors to deliver cost effective and efficient performance.
Develops and delivers agreed local business plan/s to time, quality and budget.
Supporting succession planning and career development activities for team/s.
Collaborates with the assurance function in the pursuit of continuous improvement.
Engages and influences identified business and industry stakeholders.
Ensure timely and effective escalation of non-compliance issues they are unable to influence or achieve a satisfactory conclusion to.
You'll need to have:
Ten years'' experience implementing, monitoring and managing safety for heavy civil construction programs/projects.
Experience in employee engagement and soliciting feedback to create change.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
OSHA 30.
Professional qualification (or equivalent).
Relevant experience of management in a large organization.
Evidence of continuous professional development.
An open mind with the ability to adapt to meet the needs of the work and personnel change.
Note: The estimated starting salary for this position is $170k. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
