The Assistant Restaurant Manager at Puckett’s in the Nashville Airport plays a key leadership role in supporting daily restaurant operations inside a fast-paced airport environment. This position is hands-on, floor-focused, and centered on delivering authentic Southern hospitality while ensuring smooth service, strong team performance, and consistent operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Support:
- Support the Restaurant Manager with daily operations and shift execution.
- Lead by example with a strong hospitality-first mindset.
- Help coach, train, and motivate team members.
- Reinforce accountability, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Assist with pre-shift meetings and team alignment.
Guest Experience:
- Deliver warm, genuine Southern hospitality to every guest.
- Handle guest concerns quickly and professionally.
Operations & Execution:
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Support smooth floor flow, staffing, and service execution.
- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Follow all airport compliance and security requirements.
Performance & Compliance:
- Assist with scheduling, labor, and shift support as needed.
- Help manage waste, product handling, and upselling efforts.
- Communicate operational updates and concerns to management.
- Support onboarding, training, and company standards (AHA & SLA).
- Ensure compliance with company, TSA, and airport regulations.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of restaurant leadership or supervisory experience (airport or high-volume preferred).
- Strong communication and team leadership skills.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and operational reporting.
- Flexible availability including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must pass airport background check and obtain required security badge.
