Assistant Restaurant Manager Position Responsible for the overall operation, coordination, appearance, and maintenance of dining rooms, banquet rooms, bar, and service stations. The assistant restaurant manager is responsible for training, coaching, and counseling of the service staff to provide outstanding service to our members. Must be team oriented and be able to work and communicate well with the kitchen and other departments. The assistant restaurant manager is also responsible for all operational details of setup, supervision, and cleanup for catering and special events. Meets with clients to verify details of special events and following up with appropriate personnel. Assists in implementing, maintaining, and updating new systems. May work in various positions as manager on duty, captain, server, host, bartender, expediter etc. Must have open availability and be able to work weekends and holidays. Assistant Restaurant Manager Job Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. 3 years fine dining restaurant, catering, and supervising experience required. Formalized hospitality education and/or training preferred. Working knowledge of banquets and bars. Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft excel and word and be able to program. Excellent people management skills including resolving conflict, coaching, developing others, promoting teamwork, problem solving and performance management. Must possess strong professional communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills This individual will need to be empathetic, energetic and have an affinity for working with senior population.
