Are you a strategic operations leader with a passion for driving growth, building high-performing teams, and delivering exceptional customer experiences? Milton Rents is looking for a dynamic Assistant Regional Operations Manager to oversee multiple branch locations and lead our equipment rental operations to new heights.

Pay Range: $85,000 - $115,000 depending on experience. This is a bonus eligible position.

Responsibilities:
  • Support and manage multi-branch operations across a defined territory, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Set and execute financial and operational strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Drive sales performance, customer retention, and market share growth through coaching and leadership.
  • Optimize fleet utilization and asset management in partnership with Senior Leadership.
  • Assist with rental fleet management activities including fleet planning, acquisitions and disposals.  
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and internal safety standards.
  • Ensure operational excellence and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct training with employees on operational processes being implemented.
  • Promote a positive work environment for all employees to succeed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7–10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including multi-unit P&L responsibility.
  • Proven track record in sales leadership, customer service, and team development.
  • Industry experience in equipment rental, construction services, or industrial operations is a strong plus.
  • Strong business acumen and proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods with frequent bending.
  • Capability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Extensive travel to and from Milton Rents branch locations and customer job sites.

Milton CAT is the Caterpillar Dealer for the Northeast region of the United States. Our territory includes Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and upstate New York.

Our Power Systems service technicians also work on bus and mobile home engines and they support natural gas distribution working at pipeline compressor stations.
