Assistant Property Manager
  • Location: Galleria area
  • Parking: Validated
  • Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday – Friday, IN-OFFICE 
  • Temp: Medical leave (2.5 – 3 months)  – ASAP – Through end of August into possibly mid-September
  • Pay: $65K - $75K
  • Start: ASAP

 

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Property Manager to support day-to-day operations for a portfolio of commercial/medical properties during a temporary medical leave coverage period. This role will work closely with the Property Manager and corporate team to ensure smooth property operations, tenant satisfaction, and compliance with company standards.


The ideal candidate has prior experience in commercial property management, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the daily management of assigned commercial/medical properties
  • Serve as a point of contact for tenant inquiries, requests, and service issues
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair work orders with vendors and building engineers
  • Track and follow up on service requests to ensure timely resolution
  • Assist with vendor management, including scheduling, communication, and invoice processing
  • Support lease administration, including abstracting leases and maintaining tenant files
  • Help ensure compliance with lease terms, insurance requirements, and property regulations
  • Assist with financial tasks such as rent tracking, invoice coding, and budget support
  • Conduct periodic property inspections to identify maintenance or safety issues
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and operational documentation as needed
  • Provide general administrative support to the property management team

 

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial property management (office, retail, or medical preferred)
  • Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of lease terms and property operations preferred

 

Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting medical office buildings or healthcare-related properties
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with tenants, vendors, and corporate teams
