Assistant Property Manager

Location: Charlton, MA 
Pay: $25.50–$29.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
Work Setting: Onsite with local travel between properties

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to support residential properties.This position will provide administrative and tenant support while assisting with leasing, compliance, recertifications, inspections, rent collection, and day-to-day property operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Property Manager
  • Respond to tenant questions and concerns professionally and promptly
  • Maintain accurate tenant files, records, and documentation
  • Coordinate annual tenant renewals and recertifications
  • Conduct unit inspections at assigned properties
  • Assist with leasing, tenant retention, marketing, and occupancy efforts
  • Monitor rent receivables and assist with collection efforts and required notices
  • Prepare documentation related to delinquent accounts and eviction proceedings as needed
  • Travel between assigned properties as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant property management experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software
  • Yardi experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge of HUD, Tax Credit, and/or Rural Development regulations
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus
  • Ability to travel between properties during the workday
  • Must successfully complete required CORI/SORI screening
