Wingate Management Company is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join our team at Baytown Family Neighborhood in Bay City, MI. This role is ideal for someone with affordable housing experience who is comfortable balancing compliance, resident relations, leasing, and day-to-day administrative responsibilities.
Full-Time | $28.00-$30.00 per Hour | Affordable Housing
What You'll Do
- Complete annual and interim HUD recertifications accurately and within required deadlines.
- Maintain resident files and documentation in accordance with HUD and affordable housing requirements.
- Assist with leasing activities, applications, move-ins, renewals, and resident communications.
- Support rent collection, delinquency follow-up, and other day-to-day property operations.
- Respond to resident questions and concerns professionally while helping resolve issues as they arise.
- Partner with the Property Manager to maintain occupancy, compliance, accurate records, and overall property performance.
What We're Looking For
- Previous Assistant Property Manager, Leasing, or multifamily property management experience.
- HUD and affordable housing experience, including hands-on recertification experience.
- COS certification required.
- Knowledge of Section 8 and affordable housing compliance requirements preferred.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines, maintain accurate documentation, and work effectively with residents and team members.
