Project Manager
Support Project Managers in managing multiple heavy civil, sitework, infrastructure, and landscaping construction projects. Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation. Assist with project scheduling and coordination of field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors. Monitor project budgets, cost reports, job progress, and productivity metrics. Coordinate material procurement and ensure timely delivery of equipment and resources. Assist with contract administration and maintain accurate project records. Attend project meetings, client meetings, and site visits as required. Collaborate with Superintendents and field personnel to resolve project challenges and maintain project momentum. Track project milestones and assist in maintaining project schedules and deliverables. Help ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project specifications. Support closeout activities including punch lists, final documentation, and turnover packages. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, engineers, and inspectors.
2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Field Engineer, or similar construction management role. Experience within heavy civil construction, sitework, excavation, utilities, roadway, infrastructure, or self-performing contractors is preferred. Strong understanding of construction project administration, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and cost tracking. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced construction environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across office and field teams. Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, HCSS, Viewpoint, or similar platforms is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered. Union construction experience is a plus. Valid driver's license and willingness to visit project sites throughout New Jersey as required.
