Job Description
As an Building and Construction Assistant Project Manager in Rochester, you will:
- Support Project Managers throughout all phases of construction projects
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents
- Track project costs and assist with financial reporting
- Help manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain project documentation and records
- Support project closeout activities

The Successful Applicant
The ideal Building and Construction APM candidate will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of construction industry experience
- Previous experience supporting commercial, industrial, or institutional projects
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and construction processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Experience in a construction coordination, project engineering, or Assistant Project Manager capacity is highly preferred.
