Title : Assistant Project Manager
Location: Hartford, CT 06103
Duration: Temp-direct (520-hour conversion)
Pay Rate: $40.00/hr. On W2
 
Job Description:
  • Assist with project management initiatives in the Underground Cable Modernization Program including, but not limited to department progress reporting, management of schedule, budget, outage coordination, contract administration.
  • 2-5 years experience with prior experience in composing executive level communications.
  • Assistant Project Managers / Project Associates would work under an experienced Project Manager to effectively support the execution of projects with the Project Manager.
  • Depending on the level of experience and comfort of both Owner and Consultant, an Assistant Project Manager may be assigned their own smaller, less-complex projects.
  • Project Associates would not be assigned their own projects unless specifically requested by Owner.
The job duties that an Assistant Project Manager or Project Associate may provide include, but are not limited to:
  • Coordinating internal and external resources to support project scope. These resources include the following:
o Engineering
o Outage Planning
o Siting and Permitting
o Stakeholder Engagement
o Scheduling
o Safety
o Cost Analysis
o Procurement
o Contract Administration
o Field operations/inspections
  • Assisting with the execution and development of project siting requirements, which may involve siting applications, petitions, development and management plans, and other applicable siting documents
  • Developing the project schedule
  • Administering/reviewing/developing the following items:
o RFIs
o Submittals
o Desktop requisitions
o Change orders/Change Management
o Invoice review & approval
  • Assisting in developing and reviewing technical bid documents
  • Leading and/or participating in field reviews
  • Leading and/or participating in contractor pre-bid meetings
  • Assisting in coordinating field activities
  • Reviewing and commenting on engineering submittals
  • Support the integration and use of E-Builder
  • Support Storm/ERP support as required
Experience and Education:
  • 2-5 years of experience
