We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic Construction team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working on complex projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the management of a wide range of construction projects, including mass earthwork and grading, demolition, grading and utility, road projects, service projects, sanitary, storm, water work, underground construction, and civil infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals and contribute to large-scale projects that significantly impact the community.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of various construction projects.
2. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other construction professionals to develop effective project strategies.
3. Manage the project life cycle, including the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure stages.
4. Assist in the preparation of project budgets, schedules, and work plans.
5. Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
6. Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project completion.
7. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
8. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
9. Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain clear communication and strong relationships.
10. Prepare and present detailed project reports to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, specifically in mass earthwork and grading, demolition, grading and utility, road projects, service projects, sanitary, storm, water work, underground construction, and civil infrastructure.
3. Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.
4. Excellent knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
5. Proficient in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
6. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
7. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
10. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
