Assistant Project Manager, Mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing, Piping, Sheet Metal)

A well-established commercial mechanical contractor is adding an Assistant Project Manager to its growing team. You'll support Project Managers on commercial, healthcare, education, industrial and multifamily projects, with a clear path to running your own jobs.

What you'll do

• Support PMs on HVAC, plumbing, piping and sheet metal projects from award through closeout
• Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, change orders and purchase orders
• Coordinate with field foremen, the general contractor, engineers and suppliers on schedule and materials
• Help with cost tracking, billing and job budgets
• Attend project meetings and keep logs and documentation current
• Use Procore, Bluebeam and estimating software

What you bring

• A degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent field experience
• Mechanical contractor or construction internship or work experience preferred
• Ability to read mechanical plans and specs
• Strong organization and communication skills
• A drive to grow into a Project Manager role
