Our client is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join their team and support the successful delivery of high-end residential interior renovation projects throughout New York City. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with experience working on luxury residential projects who wants to take on greater responsibility across preconstruction, project management, and field operations.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established Manhattan, NY General Contractor specializing in high-end residential construction for high-net-worth individuals. Their portfolio includes luxury townhomes, brownstones, penthouses, and single-unit apartment/co-op renovations, with projects requiring a high level of craftsmanship, coordination, and attention to detail. The company has built a strong reputation within the NYC luxury residential market and works closely with leading architects, designers, and trade partners.

Description

As Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Assist the Project Manager with the day-to-day management of high-end residential projects
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, designers, and consultants
  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • Track project schedules, budgets, procurement, and material deliveries
  • Assist with project documentation, meeting minutes, and progress reporting
  • Participate in project meetings and maintain strong communication with all stakeholders
  • Conduct site visits and work closely with the Superintendent to ensure project progress
  • Help identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedule or budget
  • Utilize Procore and other construction management software to maintain project documentation

Profile

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • 2+ years of construction experience, preferably with a General Contractor
  • High-end residential interior renovation experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience with townhomes, brownstones, penthouses, apartments, or luxury co-op renovations
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Procore experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred but not required
